The Horseshoe Tavern used to do new music nights on Tuesdays when we were a band. They were great shows. We even played one with Walk Off The Earth once, long before they became viral video superstars and were still just a corny-ass reggae band with 4 white guys and 2 pairs of shoes.
I remember their set well. They played a single note and I left the room so fast an outline of dust that looked exactly like my body rested there, visible for a moment, before dissipating into nothingness.
If you have access to a time machine and are planning to travel back to Tuesday January 8th, 2008, check them out! Just kidding, man — looks like the Cadillac Lounge is doing something called “Elvis Birthday Party” that night, that’ll be fun for you.
